App Development

Apps people actually keep using.

Sometimes a website isn't enough. Maybe your customers want to book, order or track things from their phone, or your team is stuck juggling spreadsheets. We plan, design and build apps that solve that one problem properly, then help people find and use them.

What's included

  1. 01

    Working out what to build

Before any code, we pin down who the app is for, what it needs to do on day one and what can wait. That keeps the first version focused and affordable.

  2. 02

    iOS and Android

One codebase for both platforms where it makes sense, so you reach every customer without paying twice.

  3. 03

    Web apps & portals

Booking systems, customer accounts, dashboards and portals that run in the browser, with no download needed.

  4. 04

    Internal tools

Simple apps that replace the spreadsheets, paper forms and copy-pasting your team does every day.

  5. 05

    Design that's easy to use

Clear screens, sensible flows and accessibility built in, tested with real users before launch.

  6. 06

    Launch & marketing

App Store and Google Play listings, analytics, and app install campaigns to get your first users through the door.

How it works

  1. 1

    Scope

Users, goals and a clear list of first-version features.

  2. 2

    Design

Clickable prototypes you can try before we build.

  3. 3

    Build

Development in short rounds, with a working app to review at each step.

  4. 4

    Launch & support

Store release, monitoring, fixes and new features over time.

Apps questions

How much does it cost to build an app?

It depends on what the app needs to do. A focused first version is very different from a large platform. After a scoping call we give you a written estimate, and we often suggest starting smaller and adding features once people are using it.

Do I need a mobile app or a web app?

If people will use it often and need things like notifications or offline access, a mobile app makes sense. If they'll use it occasionally, a web app is usually quicker and cheaper. We'll recommend whichever fits.

Who owns the app and the code?

You do. The code, the designs and the App Store and Google Play accounts are yours.
