What if your landing page converted better?
Same budget, same clicks. Only the page changes. This is why we never run ads to a weak website.
Estimates based only on the numbers you enter. Real results depend on your market, competition, offer and how well campaigns are managed.
How to read the results
(1)
Cost per click
What you pay each time someone clicks your ad. It's set by competition in your industry and how relevant your ads are.
(2)
Conversion rate
The share of visitors who get in touch. This is down to your landing page — and it's usually the cheapest number to improve.
(3)
Cost per lead
Budget divided by leads. Compare it with what a customer is worth to see whether ads make sense for you.
(4)
Close rate
How many leads become paying customers. Faster follow-up and better-qualified ads both push this up.
(5)
Return on ad spend
Revenue divided by ad spend. If you enter profit per customer instead of revenue, this becomes a profit multiple.
(6)
Where to start
If the numbers don't work yet, fix conversion rate first. Doubling it halves your cost per lead without touching the budget.
Common questions
What is a good cost per lead for paid ads?
It depends entirely on what a customer is worth to you. A cost per lead that's a small fraction of your customer value — after accounting for your close rate — is generally a healthy place to be.
What is a typical ad conversion rate?
It varies widely by industry, offer and landing page quality. Rather than chase an average, measure your own and work to improve it.
How accurate is this calculator?
It's a planning tool. The maths is exact, but the result is only as good as the numbers you put in. Real campaigns vary month to month.
